The Ritz
There have been a couple changes at The Ritz lately. Most importantly there was the remodel of the Rivoli Bar (which serves the best-exhibited mixed drinks in London) and the securing of the heavenly William Kent House nearby (César Ritz's fantasy as far back as he fabricated the hotel in 1906). However the principle open spaces - including the loved Palm Court and lounge area, adjusted along the rich display that runs the length of the working, from Arlington Road toward one side to Green Stop at the other - stay minimal changed. Here despite everything you have a sense, improved by the rich, warm, brilliant gleam of this part of the hotel, of having gotten yourself protected in golden. No big name inside creators have been let free on the rooms, which hold their unique Louis XVI style and a glistening palette of pinks, yellows and blues. Beguiling.
