Claridge's

Claridge's

Throughout the years Claridge's has procured a practically legendary air, making it something more than the whole of its parts. Not that there's anything amiss with its parts - a compelling half and half of flapper-tastic Workmanship Deco, fabulous Victorian twists and calm, streamlined contemporary luxury. To go through its strangely delicate feeling rotating entryways is to go into another, lovelier world. Evening tea in the lobby and a drink at the bar (or, even better, in the modest Lalique-framed fumoir) are de rigueur, and supper at Simon Rogan's Fera eatery, which has an apparition white, leafless tree as its perturbing yet entrancing centerpiece, is extraordinary. Endlessly on our rundown of the best hotels in London.
