Tap Dance

Tap move is a type of move portrayed by a tapping sound that is made from metal plates that are appended to both the ball and heel of the artist's shoe. Extraordinary shoes are made for moving the tap. These metal plates, when tapped against a hard surface, make a percussive sound and in that capacity the artists are thought to be performers. Tap move has establishes in African American moving, for example, the Juba Move, English Lancashire Obstruct moving, and presumably most remarkably Irish stepdancing. It is accepted to have started in the mid-1800s amid the ascent of minstrel shows.
